  • If it’s a baby tooth, don’t try to reinsert it—just call us and we’ll guide you.
  • If it’s a permanent tooth, gently rinse it (don’t scrub), try to place it back in the socket, or store it in milk and bring it to us right away.
  • Even a small chip can hide a fracture or nerve irritation, so we want to evaluate it quickly.

Swelling in the Gums, Face, or Jaw

Yes! We offer safe sedation options to keep your child comfortable and relaxed during emergency dental procedures. These options include nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and deeper sedation administered by our in-office anesthesiologist. We'll discuss the best option based on your child's unique needs.
What should I do if my child knocks out a tooth?
If your child knocks out a tooth, try to gently place it back into the socket or keep it in milk. Contact us immediately. The sooner we treat the injury, the better the chances of saving the tooth.
