Gentle, Thoughtful Care When Your Child Needs a Little Extra Support.
Our Pure Hearts Pediatric Dentistry Approach
How We Approach Restorative Treatment
Comfort-Focused Anesthesia (SOAN)
For many restorative treatments, we use SOAN — an advanced, electronic numbing system designed with children in mind. This modern approach allows us to gently numb only the tooth being treated, often without scary shots or bulky syringes.
Because the SOAN is precise and targeted, many children do not feel the numbing process and can begin treatment comfortably soon after. It also helps prevent the lingering “fat lip” feeling that can be upsetting for children and may lead to accidental biting of the lips, cheeks, or tongue after their visit.
With its child-friendly design and comfort-focused approach, SOAN helps put children at ease and allows us to provide restorative care in a calm, compassionate, and efficient way.
Sensory-Friendly Touches
At Pure Hearts Pediatric Dentistry, creating a peaceful, calming environment is part of how we care for your child. Our treatment spaces include dimmable lighting, noise-reducing headphones, weighted lap pads, and other thoughtful sensory supports to help children feel safe and at ease during treatment.
Every detail of our space and approach is intentionally designed to support children with sensory sensitivities, anxiety, or previous dental fears — helping them feel relaxed, confident, and supported throughout their visit.
Gentle, Minimally Invasive Care
Your child’s comfort is at the heart of everything we do. Our restorative approach uses gentle, minimally invasive techniques to treat cavities while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.
By combining child-friendly materials with a sensory-informed philosophy, we create calm, positive experiences — even for anxious or sensitive children — while restoring healthy smiles with care, patience, and intention.
